Pharmacies need a paradigm shift: How about some proper advice for once?

Pharmacy products are more expensive than comparable products at discount stores. This is justified by the high level of customer service. According to speaker and business consultant Dr. Stephan Meyer, this is rooted in a sacred cow, an outdated structure that needs to be abolished.
Radical change
When it comes to one's own health, nothing is too expensive – or so it seems. But when you first see the exorbitant prices in pharmacies, a comparable product in a discount store seems like a viable alternative for many. Why are pharmacy products so expensive? They are supposedly of better quality, but that's not the only reason.
The reason for the increased prices is the supposedly high-quality Advice...which everyone receives before making a purchase. But how high-quality is a consultation that takes place in an open sales area, where people waiting behind you overhear every detail of your digestive problems? "Privacy is the minimum for good advice," says business consultant and public speaker Dr. Stephan Meyer. Furthermore, not everyone wants a consultation, because they may have already received advice from a doctor or repeatedly purchase a product they are already familiar with. What justifies the prices in these cases?
Pharmacies are not places for consultation, the speaker argued. The fact that they are still considered such, thus justifying their high prices, points to a so-called "sacred cow," he said. This refers to societal structures that are outdated but are nevertheless maintained. In this case, pharmacies should no longer consider consultation their primary function and thus justify the exorbitant prices for their "supplementary range" such as dietary supplements, fruit juices, and cosmetics.
A paradigm shift would entail a radical transformation of pharmacy structures. The question is: Are pharmacies realizing that the advice they're currently offering is no longer genuine advice? And if so, are they ready for a paradigm shift and radical change?
Meyer has made it his mission to draw attention to sacred cows in society and to help bring about the radical change that so many fear. In his Speech “The descent of the sacred cows from the alpine pastures – a clear view of the future” He helps his listeners question long-established habits and taboos. Perhaps one or two sacred cows have crept in. "I help people recognize sacred cows and initiate a paradigm shift," Meyer explains in his lecture on radical change.
The sacred cow of advice in pharmacies, according to the speaker, is just one of many examples in our society. But the good thing is: "Questioning sacred cows always leads to opportunities and positive changes. So don't be discouraged." From an economic perspective, it would be disastrous... sacred cows to ignore them. "They urgently need to be slaughtered to preserve future opportunities," says the expert on paradigm shifts and radical change.
According to Meyer, the change must be radical in every respect. But "radical in the sense of consistent," the speaker emphasizes. If companies or even society fail to adapt to the times, it can become not only difficult but also expensive to keep up in the long run. "But that's precisely what I'm here for. I help you initiate the paradigm shift and implement radical change," the speaker explains.
